"Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing. Sushi Roku in Santa Monica is one of the top sushi restaurants in California, combining the taste of traditional sushi with a touch of Californian innovation, for an exquisite fine dining experience. The restaurant serves a mix of hot and cold appetizers and a selection of exotic entrees, and is literally steps from the beach."
"Sushi Roku combines the finest, freshest fish from pristine waters around the globe with the kind of artistry that can only be provided by a mature sushi chef ensuring superlative traditional sushi, together with a splash of California innovation..."
"Check out Sweet Fin Poké in Santa Monica for a lighter meal. The poké craze is in full swing and this new spot doesn’t disappoint. Small signature bowls are less than $10 and some examples include the classic tuna, kale snapper, spicy yuzu salmon and more."

"Delicious Japanese cuisine offering take out and a generous happy hour menu in Burbank, CA. Open for lunch and dinnerDress code: CasualPhone: +1 661-799-8655"
"Topping the list is Sugarfish, situated at 1345 Second St. With four stars out of 1,638 reviews on Yelp, it’s the highest-rated sushi spot in Santa Monica, and Nextdoor locals agree: 38% of those polled ranked it as their favorite. Menu options include the “Trust Me” set meal, which covers a selection of nigiri, sashimi and hand rolls, as well as the “Don’t Think, Just Eat” — a chef’s choice of dishes for $52. "Editor's Note: There's no photo available at the time of writing. Sugarfish doesn’t take reservations, but you won’t regret waiting for a table. Their menu, although rather simple, only uses the highest quality ingredients, put together to recreate traditional Japanese dishes with a modern twist."
"A small upscale spot located in Woodland Hills, The Brothers Sushi offers takeout sushi platters in the 20 to 30-pieces range. While their sashimi and a la carte rolls are truly mouthwatering, their most fun offerings are three different DIY Hand Roll Kits, allowing you to make your own hand rolls at home. Plus, a Kids Hand Roll Kit to let the little ones get in on the fun."

"America’s favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee, espresso, breakfast sandwiches and donuts. Order your Dunkin’ faves ahead of time with the Dunkin’ mobile app for a fast grab and go experience."
"DK’s Donuts in Santa Monica is not afraid to take risks with its bakery menu, and it combines some highly unexpected flavors and ingredients to great acclaim—a line often snakes out the door. DK’s slings just about every hybrid donut under the sun, including an o-nut (croissant-donut) and a wow-nut (waffle-donut). The UBE donuts ($2.25) incorporate Filipino purple yam into traditional cake donut batter, then are topped with glaze, bacon, coconut, or crumb or filled with cream and fruit."
"Take a quick Uber to DK’s Donuts & Bakery to pick out a few of their creative concoctions, including a donut/waffle hybrid dubbed the “wownut” and more crazy toppings than you could ever imagine. So many different donut creations it’s overwhelming, but in the best way possible. I fell asleep early, what a shock, I know, so I got my fix of DK’s in the morning before heading off to the airport. Your long weekend in LA isn’t complete without some of the good stuff."
"Access Ocean View Park from Main Street and set up a picnic for the kids at the beach play area. Its climbing structure, swings and scooping toys provide hours of endless fun for little ones."
"Just a 10-minute walk off an unpaved section of Mulholland Drive (we like this already!) is this amazing park that was once “one of sixteen Los Angeles area Nike-Ajax supersonic anti-aircraft missile launch sites.” There are tons of signs throughout the park with little educational tidbits, but the absolute best part about the park, aside from the crazy vistas, is that the original radar tower is now a viewing platform/likely selfie hotspot. The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy has a great video about the park, as well as details on getting there. A post shared by Pam Stewart (@pamkstewartphoto) on Dec 30, 2017 at 10:59pm PST"
"They have a bathroom, water dishes for dogs, shade and picnic tables!. It is located at the top of Kenter and has a viewing platform with telescopes. It is in the Santa Monica Mountains and has 360 degree views of the Santa Monica Mountains, the Encino Reservoir and San Fernando Valley, and the Los Angeles Basin."
"Choose from the extensive menu of innovative services, such as the Sun Relief Hydration Quencher or the Mediterranean Hammam Ritual at ONE Spa, the luxurious spa inside Shutters on the Beach. Customize a massage to your liking by choosing your style (Swedish, deep tissue or therapeutic), length (60 or 90 minutes) and blend (rosemary, lavender, eucalyptus, muscle comfort or fragrance free). In addition to the standard facial options, there are advanced facials as well."
"Edging the sandy shores of Santa Monica, One Spa, Shutters on the Beach is one for all those in need of some beachside healing. The nautical-themed retreat lies within earshot of the ocean waves, complete with an outdoor pool deck, selection of private cabanas and chaise lounge seating around the main building. Art is also a strong feature of the hotel, highlighted by the Lichtenstein and Hockney pieces in the lobby alongside elegant furnishings."
