"When Chef Jeff Mahin opened Stella Barra a while ago in Santa Monica, it was actually called Stella Rossa. We're not sure what prompted the name change, but one thing has stayed the same â€" the pizza. It's so good you'll be texting your friends to come join you for some pie at this convivial place on Main Street in Santa Monica, where the chef uses a traditional oven to make spectacular pizza. His dough is handcrafted daily, then fermented for at least 18 hours to give it a unique flavor. Then Mahin adds market-fresh ingredients (think butternut squash, charred cherry tomatoes, Calabrian chilies) onto that crispy, yet chewy crust, resulting in a seriously great pizza. It's so good that there are now three other Stella Barra locations, one in Hollywood and others in Maryland and Illinois. Recommended for Santa Monica's Best Restaurants because: This is the best pizza you'll find near the beach in SoCal."

"Technically, Back on the Beach Café has an indoor dining room, but why bother?. Kids will love eating with their toes in the sand at a sun-soaked restaurant with plenty of bicycle parking, bobbing pigeons, and a sea blue façade that matches the adjacent Pacific Ocean. Back on the Beach Café dates to 1989 and now resides next to Annenberg Community Beach House and an inviting kid-friendly playground."
"Back on the Beach Café sits on the Pacific Coast Highway; the salty air, sandy setting, and clear ocean view greet you upon arrival. And when you enter the indoor-outdoor restaurant, prepare for vacation mode to take hold. You'll see lots of families; the café allows kids to play in the sand beside their tables—there are even shovels and pails."
"Breakfast on the sand at Back on the Beach Cafe is scenic and delightful. Fancy huevos rancheros - and your toes in the sand?. Back on the Beach Cafe has got you covered."

"There are few places that convey the pre-luxury charm of Malibu like Neptune's Net, a no-frills, old-school seafood joint that hat has been popular with bikers for decades. Located on the West/North half of Malibu, a ways further down from the most popular beaches, Neptune's Net offers two versions of the standard beach town fare: the "Restaurant Side," serving fried food and bottled and canned beverages, and the "Seafood Side," offering fresh and live seafood and draft beer. Neptune's Net's picturesque Malibu charm has resulted in many movie and TV appearances, includingThe Fast and the Furious, Gilmore Girls and the original Point Break, where it serves as the location where Keanu Reeves asks waitress Lori Petty to teach him how to surf."
"This kitschy seafood diner on the north end of town is arguably the most popular pullover spot on the entire PCH. And while the swarms of brochure tourists can get intense, we’re never mad we went. The food is good (get that clam chowder), and the retro 1960’s California vibes are unparalleled."
"Neptune’s Net is a popular local hangout — you’ll always find multiple motorcycles parked outside. And for good reason. You haven’t truly been to Malibu until you’ve stopped here for any of their fried seafood options."
"Indulge in an incredibly fresh raw bar at this upscale eatery, located between the 3rd Street Promenade and the ocean. Beachy and chic, it's the place to go for oysters on the half shell, Peruvian ceviche, and an unforgettable seafood tower.More Info"
"BM: I go here to enjoy simple east coast pleasures in SoCal. I’m a sucker for a glass of white wine and a lobster roll. Their lobster roll is so good!"
"It’s not as though surf-capital Malibu wasn’t already full of mahalo vibes—it’s just that none of its restaurants give a nod to Hawaii quite like Duke’s. Built right on the water and sporting a surf motif (all a nod to father-of-surfing legend Duke Kahanamoku), this restaurant is breezy, fun and feels borderline tropical, with items like coconut shrimp with lilikoi chili; macadamia-crusted fish of the day; sashimi; banana-leaf–steamed seafood; and the best fish tacos in Malibu. Stop by the bar on Tuesdays for $3 tacos with a view of the waves crashing and just try to tell us you’re not having fun."
"Duke’s Malibu will take you away from California and transport you – metaphorically – to Hawaii!. A restaurant-bar, it’s situated so near to the waterfront that you might get splashed as you sit here – but if you’re looking for what to do when you’re hungry, this is a great choice!. The eatery is named after Duke Kahanamoku, a Native Hawaiian master waterman, and Olympian, famous for his surfing and swimming prowess."
"This Hawaiian-style eatery hangs over the Pacific, offering some incredible ocean-views from the dining table. For the best views, make sure to ask for outdoor- or window seating. Limo services are frequently called to Duke’s, likely due to its great hamburgers, live entertainment and unmatched sights of the sea."
