"Pot stickers were more doughy than I'm used to, but tasted good and were substantial. Sweet and sour chicken had lots of chicken and good flavor."

"Visit the classic neighborhood restaurant of Final Edition Bar & Grill, and you can expect a warm welcome, great service, affordable prices, and most of all, some truly exceptional food. While the menu may lack the bells and whistles of fancier joints, the fresh, seasonal ingredients, generous portions, and high impact flavors are unlikely to leave you feeling short-changed."
"My other new favorite spot for dinner in Healdsburg is Chalkboard (which is right next to Hotel Les Mars so it made it super easy to roll down from my room into the restaurant!)When I say everything, I mean everything on their menu is amazing BUT Chalkboard is really known for their homemade pastas. It sounds a bit strange, but you NEED to order the chocolate pasta (Coco Trifoligio.) I also adored their fried chicken and you simply cannot miss their Candy Bar desert. I would drive the hour and a half up to Healdsburg right now just to eat that again."
"The week Chalkboard restaurant opened in Healdsburg in 2013, I took Chef Shane McAnelly’s advice and ordered his signature appetizer. The pork belly sliders had flaky biscuit buns oozing with a spicy aioli on the bottom of the juicy, salty pork belly. We ordered a second round."
"Incredible vegetarian options, including a vegetarian shepherd's pie and mushroom Wellington and several salad options, and a great cocktail menu...."
"Yucatan-born chef Mateo Granados puts spice in his Mexican-French cooking, served in the modern Mexican décor dining room or on the patio. Sonoma-grown ingredients form the backbone of seasonal specialties such as empanadas stuffed with Laguna Farm chard, Preston homemade chorizo, and queso fresco Salazar; tostadas piled in ground beef; Yucatán picadillo with Preston olives, avocado, and White Crane Springs Ranch greens; or blue corn pancakes with mixed fruit, local honey, and butter. Fancier fare impresses, too, like sumptuous house made chorizo stuffed caramelized chicken breast with a bounty of spring vegetables, olive oil mashed potatoes, and rosemary sauce."
"Chef-owner Mateo Granados was executive chef at Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen before opening Cocina Latina, a nod to his Mexican roots. He sources local vegetables in season and sustainable meats from nearby farms (all listed on the menu). Some of the menu's gems include tacones, empanadas, and olive oil guacamole."
"Mateo’s has been a Healdsburg favorite of mine ever since I first visited almost 10 years ago!. Chef Mateo Granados used to be a chef at Dry Creek Kitchen, but he opened this Latin-fusion restaurant honoring his heritage back in 2011. The ingredients and flavor combinations are so unique and incredible."
"This was our third time staying at the Vintner’s Resort, and first time in one of the new buildings. I can’t decide which I like better. The resort’s buildings are arranged to resemble a Tuscan village. The original section of the resort oozes charm, with ivy covering the walls of the buildings. The newer section has a more contemporary feel with more contemporary furnishings. You can’t go wrong with either, but I think I prefer the newer buildings (numbered 800 & 900) because of the bathroom. It is stunning. A spacious walk in shower. Double vanity. And separate water closet. We always book a king bed with fireplace. This type of room means you will be on the second floor and will have a small balcony. We had coffee on our balcony every morning and enjoyed the quiet sunrise and vineyard view. It was exactly why we were visiting the wine country . . . . such an ambiance. The Vintner’s Resort is owned by the same family that owns Ferrari Carano winery. If you have visited the winery, you know they know how to bring the charm and elegance. A welcome bottle of their wine is provided in each room. It is complimentary, along with water and soft drinks. Take a glass of the wine with you and wonder though the resort’s vineyard for a pleasant walk. The resort takes COVID precautions seriously. The bathrobes are sealed in plastic, as are the ironing board and iron. Housekeeping does not come into your room during your stay unless you call and request something. If service is requested, housekeeping will come only when you are out of the room, for contactless service/delivery. The resort is pricey. But, ooohh, those extra fluffy towels and soft bed are worth it. Be sure to look for specials or email the resort and inquire, because with COVID, entertainment restrictions and the fires, occupancy is down and they are offering some fantastic deals. The spa is closed until restrictions are relaxed by the county, so we missed out on services, but we look forward to returning to enjoy the spa, and some more of this beautiful resort’s hospitality. ""The Vintners Inn (now called Vintners Resort) is an oasis just north of Santa Rosa near the heart of Sonoma County wine country. Conveniently located immediately off of Highway 101 but you would not know it was so close because of their expertly designed landscaping and their somewhat European, separately placed one- or two-level buildings. Lots to see and do here. Someone put a lot of thought into the layout. Very relaxing place to stay for several nights. They recently expanded the Inn with a spectacular spa which probably prompted them to change the name to a “resort”. Rather pricey, but worth the splurge for special occasions. We’ve been there over a half dozen times and will return.""We stayed at the Vintner's Inn by mistake - and couldn't have been happier! The rooms were lovely - ask for one overlooking the fountains. There was even a small room with tea all day long where we played cards in the evening and a fireplace (It rained the whole time we were there so the warmth was welcome.)The front desk staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The food in all the restaurants was outstanding. We will go back in warm weather to experience the rest of the amenities!"
"Cozy, intimate, and relaxing, this little hotel in the middle of a vineyard provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With a luxury spa, iconic restaurant, and over 92 acres of lush landscape and rolling vineyards, the full Wine Country experience is available without even leaving the grounds. John Ash & Co.—one of the first Sonoma County restaurants to introduce the concept of cooking seasonally with fresh, local foods and produce—provides five-star dining that pairs well with the wines from the region."
"Trip Advisor reviewers have named Vintners Resort as the number one hotel in Santa Rosa. Reading through the reviews, it’s not hard to see where the attraction lies. One past guest describes it as a ‘quiet, beautiful oasis’ while almost everyone has only positive things to say about the hospitality, the amenities, and the location."
"While saddled with an uninviting name, this Courthouse Square-side remodel of the former Rendezvous spot has a comfortable bar stocked with eager young mix-masters and serves an extremely respectable burger accompanied by duck-fat fries. Plus: outside seating."
"Beer Baron Bar & Kitchen is located in Downtown Santa Rosa, off 4th Street. We are a Bar & Kitchen focusing on craft beer and cocktails, excellent food, live music, and great company. Whatever it is you’re looking for, The Beer Baron has you covered."
