10 Best Bakeries in Salt Lake City
"There are warm smells of fresh baked goods, fresh coffee in French presses, coffee being ground for espresso, milk being steamed, a wall of quality teas, and people everywhere. I love The Rose Establishment not only for the coffee, but for the coffee shop atmosphere, an industrial-meets-classic diner feel. I asked the owner, Erica O’Brien, what the baristas recommend to drink or eat, basically what’s good there, and I loved her honest answer."
"The Rose Establishment was an mandatory inclusion in the Best Local Coffee Shops in Salt Lake City. The Rose Establishment is located on 400 W, just south of The Gateway and north of Pioneer Park, the westernmost member of our 10 Best Local Coffee Shops in Salt Lake City list. You’ve probably driven by it countless times on the way to or from a Utah Jazz game at Vivint Smart Home Arena."
"Hipsters and artists alike converge on the Rose Establishment, occupying a former lunchtime soup cafe. In the beginning, it only served made-to-order coffee and a few pastries but has grown to encompass a full breakfast and lunch menu, along with its craft coffee drinks. Pastries and baked goods are all made in-house, and the menu is seasonally driven."
"Also on my list of Top 10 Places to Eat in SLC and Best Bakeries in SLC post, Tulie Bakery does a great job for different occasions and their small breakfast menu is some of the best in town. Aside from Tulie’s incredible assortment of fresh baked French pastries, they serve breakfast every morning including toasts, steel cut oats, Brioche french toast, the ever famous croque monsier, and beignets on Fri/Sat/Sun. If you haven’t gone here yet, I have failed as a foodie."
"Tulie Bakery enjoys a prime location just north of the 9th and 9th intersection in Sugarhouse, and adjacent to Trio Cafe (one of the city's most popular modern Italian eateries). This tempting little gem offers some of the tastiest and light fare in all of Salt Lake City. With a menu that ranges from hot, pressed sandwiches to pastries and cakes, the Tulie Bakery challenges you to find a reason NOT to visit."
"I’d be red-faced lying to anyone if I denied this was my favorite Salt Lake City bakery. I’ve tried everything (true story) in their flawless case. Some of my favorite pastries include the pain au jambon (ham croissant), rustic fruit tart, lemon bar, and chocolate bouchon."

"The first Crumbl Cookies opened in Logan, Utah, in 2017, and in just three years, they’ve expanded to over 50 locations in 11 states. If you’ve ever had one of their cookies, you understand how they grew so fast!. They always have their famous chocolate chip cookies and chilled sugar cookies available, but their other flavors rotate weekly."

"Located on the bank of the Jordan River, Jordan Park is a green oasis shaded by mature trees and cooled by the nearby waterway. In addition to a full list of common public park amenities, Jordan Park has a bike polo court, a skate park, a greenhouse, an off-leash area for dogs, and The International Peace Gardens. The Peace Gardens was founded as a citizenship project encouraging peace and understanding between nations."
"Our kids love a good playground, and Willow Creek park was definitely a winner. Both the large and small playgrounds are farm themed, and one is designed just for toddlers. There is also a huge dog park for those of you who love taking your dogs to the park."
"Located in Millcreek, the 16-acre Canyon Rim Park is the quintessential community park, teeming with kids of all ages, sports, and community events, including the free Venture Out summer festival, featuring outdoor activities, recreation clinics, live music, food trucks, and outdoor movies. It’s a fun place to bring the fam and connect with friendly Salt Lakers."
"In 2006, the Children's Museum of Utah relocated to this all-new location. Undergoing an incredible, modernizing facelift, this once drab museum became a colorful, interactive, state-of-the-art wonderland for children and their parents. Now called Discovery Gateway (after the Gateway Center, in which the museum sits), this 60,000-foot family fun center has numerous, stimulating exhibits that encourage children to learn about the world."
"Discovery Gateway is also neat and located right in the middle of Salt Lake City. It’s one of the few places that not only is open on Sundays but has a reduced Sunday fee ($6!) as well. Museum of Natural Curiosity in Thanksgiving Point is great fun but not cheap. Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper is very popular and quite impressive for a desert city."
"Come prepared to create, pretend, and play for hours at Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. A miniature world awaits kids, including a grocery store, farm, car repair shop, and house that is just their size. They can also create their own rivers at the Water Play Exhibit, or put on a show at the Story Factory."
