"to 2 a.m.; it’s a great place to go regardless of the time of day. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night bites, their menu options will not disappoint. I personally recommend going to Humpy’s for breakfast—we liked it so much that we went back twice during our trip!"

"Located right in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona, this open-air restaurant features an oceanview that will make all your mainland friends jealous. The food is fantastic, and the customer service is even better. Their Kona coffee is roasted right on site (can you say FRESH?!), and you can even grab a bag of Kona coffee to take home with you."
"Inspired by the life of Gertrude Stein, Gertrude’s Jazz Bar is a gathering place for musicians, artists, and dancers, and features live music, fine art, and dance. Join the owners of Gertrude’s for live music, painting workshops with wine, songwriter’s showcases, open mic nights, comedy shows, writer’s workshops, and social artworking. Offering a full bar and creative cocktails, Gertrude’s also has stellar tapas."

"I love this ridiculously beautiful Maka’eo Walking Path at the Old Kona Airport State Rec Center!. If you can manage to keep walking and not take photos every 10 feet, you might even get some exercise. The loop is an easy 0.7 miles, but go ahead and take another couple laps and you’ll see even more bits of beauty that you missed the first time around."
