"Fountain Square is the central public square fixture of Cincinnati's downtown, constructed in 1871 on the site of a former butcher's market facility. The plaza was extensively renovated in 1971 and 2005 and is centered around a bronze allegorical fountain designed by Ferdinand von Miller, entitled The Genius of Water. It was prominently featured in the opening credits of the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati and is the center of the Fountain Square District, which features a wide variety of prominent shops, restaurants, and hotels."
"After soaking in the riverfront views, walk (or bike) to the heart of the city and experience the excitement of Fountain Square. Enjoy some Graeter’s ice cream and sit by the fountain – it’s a great spot for people watching!. Next, ascend 49 stories to the top of Carew Tower for stunning 360-degree views of the region."
"A visit to Cincinnati is not complete without taking in an iconic Reds Baseball game at the Great American Ball Park in the heart of downtown. As baseball's first professional franchise, the Reds are a household name in Cincinnati and an important part of the community. While baseball games are seasonal, the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum is open year-round, and you will often find Reds-related events throughout the year."
"The Great American Ball Park lives up to its name by offering a classic stadium experience for America’s favorite pastime. Home to the Cincinnati Reds, the Great American Ball Park is a throwback to simpler times. You can sit in the stands, hail the popcorn sellers and cheer for your favorite players as they pop fly balls all around you."
"After the museum, it’s time to enter the Great American Ballpark. If you’re visiting with children, the first base line is a great spot for families, as behind the food vendors you’ll find a whiffle ball field and even a large playground. The Reds have many affordable seating options, so you’re sure to find something that pleases."
"This is a minor Basilica the construction of which began under the Diocese of Covington under the third bishop Camillus Paul Maes. The name of the church was added under the list in the National Register of Historic Places in the year 1973. The whole church was designed by the architect Leon Coquard and is very much like the Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris."
"The William Howard Taft National Historic Site preserves the childhood home of 27th United States President William Howard Taft, located approximately one mile north of Cincinnati's downtown district within the Mount Auburn Historic District. The Greek Revival-style home was originally constructed in 1835 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. Three years later, it was transferred to the care of the National Park Service following substantial renovations allowing the home to be operated as a living history museum."
"With a menu that features duck breast, pork chops, salmon, seasonal sausage, and grilled octopus, Bauer Farm Kitchen is an upscale restaurant that offers an impressive variety of dishes. Prices are quite high, but they’re justified by the quality of the food and the service. Bauer Farm Kitchen also offers a large variety of cocktails, wines, and beers, which nicely complements the dishes."
"Relax in the rustic-chic dining room of Baur European Kitchen and craft cocktails and locally sourced French-German cuisine. Choose from small plates of oxtail soup and dry-aged lamb, large plates of bison sauerbraten or aged duck, German heavy charcuterie, or French cheeses washed down with small farm wine. Guy visited the last three restaurants on this list in one trip because they’re all conveniently located near each other on Vine Street. First up is Senate Pub, which calls its fare “gourmet street food.” But, Guy Fieri gives the massive, specialty hotdogs a catchier name: winner wieners."

"Anyway, Eat n’ Park has these crazy good smiley face cookies that I grew up eating whenever I would visit my grandparents–Busken has smiley face cookies that are even better than Eat n’ Parks’!. If you haven’t been to Eat n’ Park, you’ll just have to take my word for it, not that you’ll argue after your first bite. I would apologize for introducing you to a bakery that is so addicting, but they ship, so I won’t."
"What started as a family bakery has turned into a sweet empire with multiple locations. Busken Bakery certainly keeps it festive, but fresh & tasty is the name of their family game!. Image courtesy of Alyson L."

"Ohio native Blair Fornshell spent years honing her craft at home before opening her sun-filled, pastel-hued bakeshop in 2017. The pastry case is stocked with familiar treats in contemporary flavors, like matcha cheesecake, lavender-infused lemon bars, and turmeric sugar cookies. Fornshell's partner, designer Chaske Haverkos, often helms the counter, which is covered in stunning seafoam-green tiles custom-made in Cincy."
"Take one look at Brown Bear’s Instagram and you’ll want to visit immediately, try the cinnamon roll, and never want to leave. Blair Fornshell, who moved somewhat quietly behind-the-scenes at different venues like the City Flea, launched her own brick-and-mortar venture in 2017. She takes her time tirelessly developing recipes, and the result is baked perfection you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else."
