The 5 Best Places to Get Cheap Eats on Oahu
"My favorite brewery on Oahu was definitely Aloha Beer Company. It’s also located in Kaka’ako, which means you will need a rental car (street parking only) or to take an Uber / Lyft to get there, but if you go out of your way to visit just one brewery on Oahu, it needs to be Aloha Beer Company. They have a covered outdoor patio as well as indoor seating and a permanent, on-site food truck stationed inside the brewery that serves up brats and pretzels (which were delicious, by the way!)."
"Locally owned and operated, the Aloha Beer Company offers a relaxing place to hang out, feel the saltwater breeze, and sample tasty craft beers, cocktails, and unique pub fare."
"There’s more to eat in this surf town than just burgers and shave ice, and Haleiwa Eats Thai is one of the best examples. The four-year-old establishment doesn’t look like a typical Thai restaurant—with turquoise Apple monitors forming a pinwheel on one yellow wall–but its dishes are as traditional as they come. Eat family style to sample the array of curries; we also recommend the Pad Kee Mao."
"The exoctic beauty of the asian women is mind boggling but had gone there for chicken. I had hired a tour guide. Someone was born there to show me the sp..."
"If you prefer a small and quiet area for swimming, then the Halona Beach Cove fits the bill. A movie is known as “From here to eternity” was shot in this location. Make sure to stay away from the rock areas, given that the waves can be turbulent."
"Step out onto the shores of the often Instagrammed Kailua and Lanikai Beaches, before taking the scenic route to the North Shore on Kamehameha Highway. On the way, you’ll pass Kaneohe Bay, Waiahole Poi Factory (stop here for Hawaiian plate lunches), Kualoa Ranch and a natural landmark known as Crouching Lion. You'll see coastal views of beaches and undeveloped valleys before entering Laie, where the Polynesian Cultural Center and Mormon Temple are located. Stop in Kahuku, the next town, for shrimp at any one of its food trucks, before driving to Ehukai Beach Park, also known as the renowned surf spot Banzai Pipeline."
"Instead of Waikiki, head over to the less-crowded Lanikai Beach, which is often ranked one the best beaches in Oahu. The bright white sand beach and endless blue water is definitely a reminder of why many people call Hawaii “paradise.”"
"After what can only be described as the hardest of our hikes on Oahu and definitely the hardest hike of our lives, we really deserved the best breakfast in Oahu. A quick google search for a nearby café resulted in a very average looking parking lot, complete with Pizza hut & a Safeway. A tad confused and ever trusting of the Google Gods we thankfully continued as Island Brew Coffee House turned out to be an unforgettable spot and one of the best places to eat in Oahu for breakfast with a view!"
"Island Brew Coffee House is known for its rich coffee drinks– think espresso milkshakes, blended coffee lattes, and flavored espresso classics. The menu is enormous. They also sell a variety of gluten-free and vegan food, which they serve all day."
"This eco-friendly, designed-for-collaboration café completely embodies the spirit of the artistic Kaka’ako district of Honolulu. With light soups, salads, açaí bowls, and coffee drinks, Fresh Café is the perfect lunch spot for downtown dwellers."
